We are people of New Light and Life
"The world is charged with the grandeur of God," Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote. Certainly, we understand this easily as we look at nature. Trees, flowers, and shrubs have come alive with blossoms of the colors in Joseph's Technicolor coat. The multitude of scenes fills us with awe as we stand in the midst of Mother Nature.
As a Church we also experience the awesome power of NEW LIFE. God has suffered died and rose from the dead so that we no longer walk in the darkness but rather walk in the bright light of a Christ who conquered death.
May we always be people of light and life. Even when the gloominess of winter sets in, we know we have the promise of spring. Even when life seems difficult or we feel abandoned and alone, we have Christ's promise that he will never abandon us or leave us orphans. He is a God of Life and Light. SHINE BRIGHT FAIR LIGHT IN ALL OUR LIVES.
