What is the difference between a psychological screening and a psychological test or evaluation?

Screenings and tests both provide insight into potential issues for a child. Screenings are time efficient and cost effective in comparison to expensive and long psychological testing sessions. If further testing is recommended, there are providers that will credit a percentage of the amount spent on the screening. In sum, the screening is the first place to start if you or your child’s teachers/school counselors have concerns.

When should I schedule a screening?

The screening is a 3 hour long process and takes place in our office in Kennesaw. We recommend that you allow for 3.5 hours in case there are any questions you would like answered or information our psychometrician may need from you.
