Welcome to the ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS! We consider it an honor at A.P.A. to serve you and your children. It is our belief that every student deserves creative quality instruction, positive encouragement, and individual attention. We strive to teach the importance of teamwork, discipline, respect and manners while equipping students to achieve their personal best.
Here at our dance studio in Gainesville, we aspire to provide excellent training to students in all performing arts disciplines including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, creative movement, pointe, and musical theater. Our goal is to emphasize the learning experience and motivate students to reach their potential. In our classes we use themes, props, musical games, and terminology worksheets to help students learn the basics of each technique. A.P.A. is committed to providing a comprehensive and individualized performing arts education for both the recreational dancer and the aspiring professional.
We aim to impart a love of the arts and the joy of movement in all our students. We are pleased to offer classes which are designed to be non-competitive with the primary emphasis on the students learning in a safe, fun, and caring environment. When students, especially younger children, come to A.P.A. they will receive an education in class, which goes far beyond "performing arts". Pre-school, kindergarten and elementary school aged children will learn social, mathematical, and athletic movement skills. They are introduced to foreign vocabulary, rhythmic patterns, and sequential learning. Most importantly, they are encouraged to be creative and have fun!
A.P.A. is dedicated to providing your child with a positive and up-lifting experience. Although our performing arts classes emphasize such skills as poise, flexibility and fitness, it is the skills of cooperation, leadership, and self-confidence that will last a lifetime!!!
