The Woodstock Church of Christ is one of several autonomous congregations of the Body of Christ striving to practice the New Testament Christianity in the Metro-Atlanta area. We strive to do only those things the Word of God authorizes. We seek to "speak where the Bible speaks" and to "remain silent where the Bible is silent," in our worship and doctrine.
We strive to be a very warm and friendly congregation of God's people. Why not come and enjoy some peace in this world that passes all understanding? Hear the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a well of water springing forth into life everlasting. Come worship with us. View our worship schedule
The apostle Paul encouraged the saints at Philippi to think on whatsoever things were noble, Philippians 4:8. Paul also encouraged Christians in Rome to take control of their minds and their thoughts in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Before we consider the application of the Scriptures we really need to get an understanding of the historical context of these verses. Once again, as part of our benevolence work, we are collecting gifts for foster children and others. If you would like to help, please take a tag from the bulletin board in the foyer, purchase the gift following instructions on the tag, return items to room 206 by Dec. 5. We have several older children this year. They prefer to select their own clothing, etc, so we are collecting gift cards for them.
Place donations for “Christmas Care Packages” for the men and women on our prayer list in the containers in the foyer. If you want to add someone to the list or have an updated address, give it to Susan Garner or the office. A list of items needed can be found on the containers.
EEM $1,000,000 Sunday Update - In our recent special collection for Eastern European Missions, we collected $1,700. Thank you for your generous support. Please continue to pray for this mission effort.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Betty Sticher and her family at the passing of her husband and our brother in Christ, Carl, on Nov. 15.
We welcome all visitors to our services. We are so thankful for your presence. You are invited to join us for lunch in the Fellowship Hall immediately after our Sunday morning services.
This week the luncheon will be provided by Care Zones 2.1 & 2.2 (Brannan and Massey). Next week we will not have a morning luncheon.
