In 1953 L.L. Scruggs, Sr. founded Athens Insurers, the independent insurance agency that was to become AI Insurance Group. Athens Insurers served the insurance needs of individuals and businesses throughout the state of Georgia by consistently exceeding our client's expectations in terms of service and expertise. By being mindful of our client's ever-changing needs, AI has grown into an international insurance broker that serves clients with global operations. The A.I. Group is the Employee Benefits division of A.I. Insurance Group. For the past 20 years we have continued to grow and have now become recognized as a “best in practice” agency for both services offered and the servicing of clients. With over 30 employees, the company is led by Dave Woodruff and Dan Murphy who have a combined 50+ years of experience in the employee benefits field. Their goal from the beginning has been to create a company that specializes in uniquely serving the client’s needs.
