Monthly recitals begin in October and are held in the Westminster Schools Junior HS Chorus Room.
Founded in 1973, The Georgia Academy of Music is a not for profit community music school offering premiere musical instruction to metropolitan Atlanta. The Academy offers private music lesson instruction by our 30 member international faculty. Included in this offering are lessons on cello, clarinet, flute, guitar, low brass, percussion, piano, saxophone, trumpet, viola, violin, and voice. We also offer Suzuki Method instruction on violin and cello including a Suzuki group experience on violin.
The Academy offers music classes for young children ages 6 months through 5 years. Our Musical Beginnings Program for toddlers has a 30 year tradition of providing musical introduction with a focus on hands on experience with orchestral instruments, piano, guitar and world ethnic instruments. It also features singing, dancing, musical storytelling and an aural exposure to diverse musical styles.
