William J. Cobb and M. Ayres Gardner bring over 50 years of experience to their Metro Atlanta firm. They have successfully represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of cases, including trials and appeals in both state and federal courts, and planning and preventive counseling. Ms. Gardners practice has long included a focus on Employment Law. She has extensive experience representing individual employees including managers at the executive level, negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements, and pursuing employment claims through lawsuits and mediation. Ms. Gardner has also served as retained labor and employment counsel to a statewide, unionized non-profit corporation since 1997. In that capacity, she has on an ongoing basis provided counsel and advice, representation in collective bargaining negotiations and in other matters in various forums, and HR training for managers. In addition, Ms. Gardners experience as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem and as a Magistrate Judge handling domestic violence cases, as well as personal experience as the guardian of an incapacitated adult and as an advisor to elderly family members, has led her to include selected Family Law and Elder Law cases in her practice.
