God's Children Sing: Musikgarten at Grace
Welcome to Musikgarten at Grace, a music and movement class for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and parents. The class is held at Grace on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 9:45. Musikgarten's four semester sacred curriculum is entitled God's Children Sing and spans the course of two years. This semester we are offering: "God, My Family, and Me." Each semester we will focus on a given theme for about two weeks.
We invite you to join us for a new Wednesday evening Bible Class, beginning September 1, 2010 at 7 pm in the Heritage Room. In this class we will seek to understand our Christian faith by examining its development over the last 2000 years. It will be based on a book called Turning Points by Mark Noll.
Following the outline of the book, we will examine 12 crucial turning points in church history —including the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, the rise of monasticism in the 6th century, and the 18th century spiritual revivals.
We won't be studying history simply for history's sake. Instead, we will consider how these turning points impact our lives and faith today. Each week we will ask the important question: "So what?"
Our MissionAs a community of God's people in Atlanta's Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods, Grace Lutheran Church is called to lead people to Jesus that together we may follow him through death and into resurrected life, beginning now and for eternity.
