Bed and Breakfast in Atlanta
The Virginia Highland Bed and Breakfast is an Atlanta, Georgia Inn just 2 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta and minutes to Midtown, Buckhead and Decatur. This Atlanta inn is within walking distance of Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the many distinctive shops, restaurants and entertainment in Virginia Highland, Atlanta's premier pedestrian neighborhood.
The Virginia Highland Bed and Breakfast has a unique history. After a 1995 fire, this 1920 Craftsman Bungalow was fully restored to its original charm by Atlanta architects, Menifee and Weiner and opened as a bed and breakfast in 1996, in time to host international guests to the Summer Olympics. It is owned and operated by Adele, a Chicago native and avid Master Gardener. In 2006 her garden was designated an Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary and her classic labyrinth was included in the World-Wide Labyrinth Project.
A home cooked, full breakfast is served at this Atlanta bed and breakfast inn in the sunny old fashioned kitchen with the original high back sink or served in the beautiful formal dinning room. The menu includes Challah style French toast, double cheese omelet, salmon scramble, Georgia pecan waffles, vegetable quiche, spoon bread casserole, plus lively conversation!
