In 1972, Thigpen, Jones, Seaton, & Company was founded on the principles of personal service, quality, and professional care for each of our clients. Our history of success began by paying careful attention to the needs of those who employed us. Our job has always been to respond to those needs with accurate information delivered through a knowledgeable staff known in the field for their expertise.
In addition to performing traditional accounting and tax services for individuals, small businesses, and local governments, we have a specialized financial institutions practice that provides audit and compliance services for community banks. We also have an information systems assurance and advisory services practice that focuses in IT security audits and penetration testing (ethical hacking). While our level of personal service and client interaction has a small firm "feel" we are far from your typical small town CPA practice.
Accordingly, we have a peer review of our non-SEC accounting and auditing practice and also an inspection of our SEC accounting and auditing practice every three years. Internal quality control policies and procedures are reviewed annually.
From the beginning, we have ascribed to common goals with the belief in team work on every job. Consistent with our philosophy, it is our promise to provide timely, quality service. Our value of doing things right the first time is what sets us apart from our competitors.
As part of our professional standards, we do not disclose to anyone outside of our Firm any confidential client information obtained in the course of any engagement unless the disclosure is authorized by the client or is required to discharge properly our responsibilities under law or authoritative regulatory or professional standards. Our privacy policy is available for review here.
