The Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc., organized in 1934, is a non-profit council of garden clubs whose purpose is to facilitate member clubs' interests of civic beautification, gardening education, and environmental conservation. The Federation headquarters for the past 50 years is the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Neel, Sr., designed in 1910 by Georgia's famed architect, Neel Reid.
Located at 730 College Street, the Federated Garden Center is open to the public for touring during business hours (10am - 1pm) for a nominal fee on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our Gift Shop offers fine gifts at bargain prices. The house is also available for wedding reception and press release rentals. FGC Macon is a member of the National Council of Garden Clubs, Inc. and the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.
