John Harrison started his automotive career at a Volkswagon dealership in San Francisco, California. He moved his family back home to Georgia in the mid 70s and began working with the Smith family of automobile dealers. In 1979, John left the Smith dealership and opened his own body shop in south Macon. The shop was relocated to its present location in 1984.
John's daughter Kim joined the family business in 1984 and took over operations in 1992, when her father retired. She has been building the business ever since. Harrison's Body Shop has grown from a 10,000 square foot shop to the state-of-the-art 80,000 square foot shop it is today under her leadership. It continues to be the highest quality production based collision repair facility in Middle Georgia.
