Since starting our practice in 2004, we have endeavored to bring quality care to the women of North Georgia. Our philosophy is to treat the patient as a whole, encompassing traditional and complimentary medicine to provide the best possbile care. We tailor each patient's treatment and care to their specific needs. Understanding and Treating Premenstrual Dysphoria Disorder (PMDD)
PMDD is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). In PMDD, the symptoms of PMS are so severe, they interfere with work, social activities and relationships. Because 1 in 20 women suffers from PMDD, there is a great urgency to understand the biologic and psychosocial causes and treatment options. A sophisticated understanding of both reproductive and psychosocial factors is required since PMDD is at the interface of gynecology and psychiatry. PMDD has significant negative impact on daily function, quality of life and economic impact.
