The Foster House is a historic house restaurant and special events facility; a Southern dining experience in the heart of downtown Cumming. Built in 1887 by Henry & Mamie Foster who lived here with their seven children. The Fosters were a great asset to the city of Cumming, as Henry had a general store just a few steps from his home on the downtown square. He even served as sherrif for a couple of years.
Enjoy dining in any of our 4 dining rooms, tastefully restored & decorated as it might have been in the late 19th century. Have your wedding reception or special event on our beautiful brick patio under century-old pecan trees. Or have a very intimate ceremony or party in our carriage house, original to the grounds.
Here at The Foster House, we strive to make our customers and special events patrons to feel at home and to know their happiness is our priority, where a balance of history & Southern charm will complement your special day to make it a dream come true.
