Pressure Washing Services
Advanced Pressure and Gutter Cleaning, Inc. provides both Residential and Commercial pressure washing services to the Atlanta Metro area. Residential services include House Washing, Deck Cleaning and Sealing or Staining, Washing of Driveways, Patios, Pool Areas, and Roof washing to remove staining on shingles. Commercial services include pressure washing Strip Centers, Buildings (large and small), and Environmental cleaning, using Hot water or no- water cleaning.

All kinds of home exteriors should be washed to remove the accumulation of green and black mold, mildew, loose dirt, dust, spider webs, etc. Much of the black mold or mildew which is removed may be hard to see by the untrained eye, but will look much better once cleaned.

Our common House Washing is done using low pressure and a special blend of detergents and bleach formulated from over fifteen years of experience to remove mold, mildew, loose dirt, spider webs, etc, without using any high pressure on your paint, windows, or other sensitive areas. This will also remove oxidation from painted areas making the color more vibrant.

This low-pressure washing technique is safe for all types of home exteriors including: synthetic stucco, particle boards, wood siding, hardi plank, vinyl, brick, aluminum, cedar and so on

Washing your home is recommended every 12 18 months to improve the look of your house as well as protects your paint and siding from the harmful effects of mold and mildew.
Standard House Washing includes washing the entire exterior of the home from the ground to the gutters, but does not include decks, driveways, gutter cleaning, etc.
Decks (Wood fences, etc) Cleaning
Natural wood decks can be cleaned to look nearly brand new in most cases. A special Alkaline-based cleaner is used to remove all mold, mildew, and any foreign substance from the surface and inside the surface grain of the wood. This leaves the deck clean and free of all debris and ready to be sealed or stained. This process is extremely effective and uses a medium pressure on all wood surfaces. Decks are not cleaned with a bleach (which can have adverse affects on a deck) or water pressure only (which involves using too much pressure to clean the deck and causes damage to the surface of the wood). Decks are normally cleaned inside and out, including floor, railings and stairs. The underside of decks is not normally cleaned except upon special request.
Sealing and Staining
After cleaning. sealing or staining your deck will breathe life back into old looking boards, old and dirty decks will look excellent again. Cleaning and sealing or staining your decking every 2-5 years as needed, will ensure your decking will remain in excellent condition for years to come.
Clear oil based sealants: Most cost effective, easy to apply, totally clear natural look, repels water from the boards protecting them from rot for 1-4 years, and will keep the deck looking nice for 1-3 years.
Acrylic / Oil based Semitransparent deck stains: Very nice looking products, semitransparent colors so wood grain is still visible, protects boards from rot 3-6 years, keeps decks looking good 3-7 years. Easy and cost effective to clean every 1-3 years without removing the stain to keep boards looking good. Comes in a variety of colors (natural cedar colors are the most popular). Overall a very good product, Consistently rated one of the best by 'Consumer Reports'.
Crude oil based Semitransparent deck stains: Possibly the best looking product, most popular in the cedar color, wood grain is still visible, lasts 2-4 years, looks great.
Acrylic / Oil based Solid Color Deck Stains: Solid colors only, available in a wide variety of colors, lasts 3-8 years, very easy to clean every 1-3 years to keep looking fresh without removing the stain, looks good in areas where low maintenance is an issue (docks, fences, etc.) Looks great if you like the solid colors on your deck or fence. Or to match or contrast the color or a house. (Looks like a paint, but it will not peel like a paint).
With years of experience sealing and staining countless decks of our customers, as well as our own decks, and the decks of our families, and endless hours researching different products, and non-biased reports such as 'Consumer Reports', as well as our own testing, we offer you the following information:

It is important to consider a few things when picking a stain; 1-how well will it protect your decking? 2-How long will the product last? 3-How well can it be removed and reapplied years down the road when it is finally worn out?

As a few very popular products on the market today will protect your deck, and last several years, but 2-5 years down the road the product will have stained the wood, It may look like an old polyurethane, black streaking, or a colored glue on the wood, which can not easily be removed, and can only be covered up with the same color or a thicker color or thicker product. It looks OK, but it will not look perfect.
The best products should look excellent when applied, protect your wood from aging, last several years, be very durable to traffic (pets, parties, etc), and clean off when necessary, in order to re-stain the deck for the next duration of its life. more information here..
Driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool decking, etc.
The washing of concrete surfaces is normally done with high pressure (4000 PSI), using a pressure washer along with a special driveway cleaning device, although some chemicals may be used if necessary. The cleaning will remove all mold, mildew, dirt, etc. After washing, the concrete will look excellent.
Pressure washing dramatically changes the appearance of concrete, without compromising the integrity of the surface.

In some special cases, concrete may be acid etched to remove sealants, and various staining, especially if concrete is to be stained with a concrete stain.

Some more fragile surfaces, commonly found on pool decking, patios and other decorative concrete and stone work will also clean very well using reduced pressures.

Shingle roofs, but also cedar, asbestos, and even slate can be washed to remove the ugly black and green staining on the roof. A special roof cleaner is applied, and the roof is washed from the top down using a low pressure rinse to remove all staining.

You should expect all stains to be removed without causing any damage to the roofing material. Skilled technicians perform this work with ropes and harnesses in a safe and effective manner. Roofs look great after they are cleaned and stay clean for many years.

By using low-pressure roof washing techniques with alkali cleaners, as seen here, we are able to remove 100% of black or green staining from your asphalt shingles (as well as slate, cedar, asbestos). This cleaning process completely removes the mold and fungus growth, preventing its further growth, while not damaging the shingle. Unlike cleaning with bleach (in which stains will usually return within 6-8 months) it will take many years before these stains may ever re-accumulate.

Gutter Cleaning Services

Our basic Gutter cleaning service includes cleaning off all debris which may have accumulated up on the roof or valleys of your home, as well as behind chimneys, skylights, etc. We then clean all the debris and clogs out of the inside of your gutters, including the sediment. In the case of Gutter Guards, we will clean on top, and underneath all gutters screens, (the only exception being gutter covers which are fastened to the gutter or roofing) and we then straighten the screens as best as possible. As we are cleaning out the gutters, we check and clear out all the down spouts (in the case of very clogged down spouts, we will remove, clear, and then reinstall the down spout). When all that cleaning is done, we will return to the ground and clean up any debris from the roof or gutters. Our goal is to provide a very thorough cleanup, which includes cleaning all areas where the debris may have fallen; bushes, sidewalks and stoops, decks, patios, driveways, porches, yards, etc.

In the case of sensitive landscaping, flower beds, etc., the gutters may be cleaned by hand and debris will be collected in a manner in which to keep it out of the sensitive areas. In most cases, we do not bag the debris or take it with us when we leave, we will find an appropriate place (ie: woods, natural areas, etc) in which to put it. Although for an additional cost, we can collect, bag, and remove the debris upon request.
There are a number of additional services we offer in conjunction with Gutter Cleaning,

Gutter covers and Gutter Guards
Advanced provides and installs primarily three types of gutter covers to help prevent debris from clogging gutters and down spouts. When choosing a gutter protection device for your home, it is important to remember, not all gutter covers work well on all houses.
Many of the solid gutter covers and screens on the market cause homeowners a great deal of frustration; Gutter screens may allow debris to get through the screens, and collect on top of the screens, although in some cases they work very well. The lip on many gutters is not sufficient for clip-on gutter guards to clip on well, so they may regularly fall off, or become flipped open by squirrels, tree branches, etc.
Most of the solid "never clean your gutters again" type of covers are also plagued with problems such as; gutters becoming clogged under the covers by small debris and leaves which make their way in with the water, gutters overflowing in the valleys causing erosion in flower beds, etc, covers becoming crushed under the weight of wet debris... But, in the right applications, these covers may work well on some homes.
Therefore, it is important to choose a system that is right for your home, the following is a description of the three most common types of gutter protection which we feel are worth mentioning, along with the details of each;

1-Galvanized Metal Hinged Gutter Guard
The most common gutter guard is the arched, galvanized metal mesh screen that clips onto the lip of the gutter and is capable of being flipped over for easy cleaning. This guard is the most inexpensive guard. Because if it's arched shape, it traps debris at the back side and will defiantly require regular cleanings. It is important to be sure the clips will work with your gutters, to avoid the common problem of these guards falling off the house, or falling into the gutter, which will create more clogs. In the case you hire us to install these gutter guards, we will always check to be sure the clips will clip onto the gutter properly, if they will not, we will notify the customer and recommend something else.

A much better option is the flat aluminum gutter guard. This guard is a top performer for the price, and installs very well on most gutters. As with any screen, it will require some regular cleaning. But unlike the standard gutter screens above, this type of guard performs much better. Because it slides underneath the shingles, and clips all the way across the lip of the gutter, it excels in many ways; It will not flip open or fall off your house, very little debris will get in because it does not trap debris at the back side, it is virtually invisible from the ground (so it looks much better), the little bit of debris which may get in is generally not enough to clog the gutters, it is easy to clean, and very cost effective.

works well on most homes
CONS:As with any screen, some debris will build up on top, so it will require some regular cleaning, though not as frequently as other screens.

3- Solid Aluminum Gutter Covers
For those of you looking for a solid, "never clean your gutters again" type of guard; we would first like to advise to use caution. We have seen houses where these types of covers work well, but have also seen many cases in which the homeowner experiences great troubles with these types of products. In each case, the homeowner has spent a good bit of money on the product to find out it does not work. In some cases, the warranty may specify in small print that it excludes common problems like pine needles, or bird's nests. Some companies offering a long-term warranty may simply go out of business or file bankruptcy after selling their product for a period of years at a premium, making the warranty not worth the paper it is written on.

That being said, we believe the debris guard is a very well designed product. Debris Guard is a newly designed cover system on the market that correctly resolves design flaws inherent in other similar systems. It is designed with .027 gauge aluminum for strength, and comes in 29 colors including copper. It is designed to keep all debris out of the gutters, so you never have to clean your gutters again. I believe the design of this product is equal to or better than the other similar products on the market. But use caution, this 'family' of gutter covers has not yet stood the test of time, but seems to work well on some houses. It is a more expensive gutter guard, but should prevent future cleanings. Although it is often necessary to get up on the roof to blow debris off the roof and valleys as they may normally accumulate. This "family" of "never clean your gutters again" covers does not work for all homes, such as homes with multiple valleys, or low pitch roofs.

The Debris Guard has a 2 year installation warranty by Advanced, a 20 year materials warranty by Debris Guard, and a lifetime performance warranty also by Debris Guard.

Some Maintenance still required to periodically blow debris off roof and valleys
Some problems with this type of guard involve debris still finding there way into the gutters, water overflowing in the valleys,
