St. Paul's Church is a parish serving Savannah and the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia in the fullness of the Catholic and Reformed faith of the Anglican Communion since 1852. We are a diverse group of people who have chosen the Episcopal Church as the denomination within which to live out our Christian faith. Some of us have been Episcopalians all our lives, while many have come from other denominations.
We are Black and White, Asian, and Hispanic. We are straight and gay. Some of us belong to families with or without children, some are older couples, some are single and live alone and some of us are divorced. Some have lived all their lives in Savannah, some have been here many years and some are recent arrivals to the community.
We see the diversity of our religious histories, interests and cultures as one of our strengths as a parish family. But primarily we are here because we find Jesus Christ in our worship, in our fellowship and in our ministry and service to others.
We don’t believe that the Episcopal Church is the only Church, but a particular expression of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We appreciate how this expression of the Christian Life has historically encompassed many different traditions that are both Catholic and Protestant, ancient and reformed, liberal and conservative. We respect the fact that people find God in and through many other expressions of the same faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and live in the common hope that the Holy Spirit of God is enabling us to contribute to the building of God's Kingdom.
Regardless of your journey you are welcome at St. Paul’s.
