Dr. Drake has practiced in Savannah since 1982, delivering state-of-the-art scientific cardiology. His experience through the years has convinced him that judgment about when to perform tests and which therapies to apply is far more important than commonly realized. Careful management and preventative measures can help avert many medical catastrophes.
We have also tried to maintain a personal touch in the care we deliver. We genuinely care about our patients, and many of our patients look at us like part of the family. Although we offer the usual gamut of tests and procedures in the office, we have tried to keep things personal. We do not heavily use physician extenders, and when you call our office, you speak to a real person and not a recording. By keeping things personal, we know who our patients are, and the doctor usually remembers details about them.

What you believe always has a great impact on what you do. This is especially true with health care. We believe that the patient should have the last word in his or her own care. We believe that sometimes there is too much emphasis on expensive tests and dangerous procedures. We believe that there is a need for compassion and common sense in medical care. We believe that it is possible to approach cardiac care with a simpler, more balanced approach, without sacrificing quality or abandoning scientific medicine.
