Mission StatementSt. John's Lutheran Church welcomes all people to proclaim the gospel
as we reach out to our community and families through the power of God's grace.(adopted May 23, 2010)
Welcome to our Web Page. St. John's Lutheran Church was organized in 1895 by families of the Salzburg heritage who had come to Effingham County as early as 1734. We are a congregation who cherishes our history while we have a passionate desire to be faithful to our gracious Lord in the present. St. John's is a warm welcoming people who are reaching out to new people with the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.
We would be very pleased to have you come worship with us. Our Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall with an assembly for children, youth, and adults, followed by classes for all ages. Our Worship Service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Holy Communion, which is open to all baptized Christians. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday. Our nursery is open for little children. We are located about 22 miles from downtown Savannah, Georgia, in the fast-growing town of Rincon. The church is six miles northwest of I-95 on Highway 21. Look for the red doors and white steeple.
