On June 9, 2009, the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Tremont Temple Baptist Church. The ceremony commemorated the opening of a computing center in the churchs education building, the first step in a larger effort to provide Internet access to Savannahians who otherwise might not have access. Seimitsus Ron Wallace participated in the ceremony, issuing the following statement:
