Leading our firm is Attorney Dawn Scotland. She has been practicing law since 1992, after graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, one of the top law schools in the country. As a former Senior Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County DA's office, Ms. Scotland knows how to view a case from both sides of the equation, and can often anticipate the tactics or strategies used by the prosecution. She also worked for a very successful Boston personal injury defense firm before moving to the Atlanta area to start her own law practice in 1994.
Our firm's main area of focus is criminal defense. We represent adults and juveniles facing felony or misdemeanor charges for criminal offenses such as drug offenses, DUI/traffic tickets, probation violations, theft crimes, property crimes, or assault.
In addition, we also handle criminal appeals of conviction and sentencing.
Juvenile Court: Deprivation cases, parental right disputes, and juvenile offenses such as auto theft, burglary, destruction of property, fighting, possession of illegal drugs, underage drinking, etc.
Wills: For individuals and families who want to ensure that their loved ones are provided for and that their assets are protected, we prepare legal wills and testaments.
Business Contracts: We are retained by business owners throughout the greater Atlanta area to draft and review contracts. We are also readily able to resolve business contract disputes.
Uncontested Divorces: Our office provides guidance in uncontested divorces. These are cases where the spouses are not arguing against the divorce or issues stemming from the divorce, such as division of property and debts or matters involving children.
