The Clinical Director of the IAC is a nationally regarded expert with over forty years of experience in adoption. She has written numerous groundbreaking books including Dear Birthmother and Children of Open Adoption and has advocated extensively for open adoption. She provides the IAC staff with clinical supervision and oversight.
The national reach of IAC public awareness campaigns enables us to place babies with an adoptive family in 12 months, on average. Most families have a placement between 6 and 18 months.
The IAC is licensed in California, Georgia, Indiana North Carolina and Texas and has placed newborns with families living in 36 additional states. In addition, the IAC also has authority to provide adoption services in New York, and is authorized to place children for adoption in Connecticut.
The IAC is one of the only adoption agencies in the United States that has never had any exclusionary policies for adoptive parents including age, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, ethnic background, or race.
