Companion Animal Hospital - Athens GA Vet

Companion Animal Hospital, located in Athens Georgia, was originally founded in 1971 by Dr. Causey after a distinguished career as a professor at the University of Georgia Vet School. Dr. George Malnati, a board certified surgeon, took over the reins and added on to the original building producing what we currently have today. When the time came for George to pass the torch of this outstanding Athens institution, he personally chose Drs. Denise Weaver and Troy Pickerel, both graduates of UGA.

Denise and Troy have owned CAH since 1999. The hospital employs 10-14 people at any time, including students working to gain experience and knowledge for veterinary school. Troy is certified by the American Embryo Transfer Association and spends most his time concentrating on bovine embryo transfer. They honestly stress the importance of good service and communication with their clients.
